Look beyond Daily Life: Therein Lies the Glory
"Dyayan krithe yagnanyagnais stotrayam dwapare archayan!
yadapnothi tadhapnothi kalow sankeerthya kesavam!!"
Meaning: One can reach the abode of almighty by simplest way of singing his glories or singing his name repeatedly (Namasankeerthanam) in this age of darkness (Kaliyugam).
Mayuram Sri Radha Kalyana Mahotsavam (the divine marriage of Lord Krishna with His consort Radha) with Annadhanam (sacred offering of food for the hungry and needy) is an annual festival held at North Ramalinga Agraharam, Mayiladuthurai (formerly Mayuram), Tamil Nadu, India since 1955 continuously, with the lofty motto of spreading namasankeerthanam (singing the name of the Almighty) combined with annadhanam, which feeds around 4000 people during the three-day event with the blessings of the goddess of food, Annapoorna Devi. Though this fest solemnizes the holy wedding of Lord Krishna and his consort Radha, it is in essence celebrated to symbolize the divine union of jeevatma (soul of a living being) with Paramatma (The Supreme Soul), with Radha representing the jeevatma and Krishna, the Paramatma.
